John H Maki, age 53, passed away on April 6, 2020. John was born in IL on March 21, 1967, and raised in Franklin Park by parents Clyde and Minnie Maki who, along with his brother Danny and sister Diane predeceased him.

John was a go-getter. There was nothing John couldn’t do or fix. He always had a smile on his face and jokes up his sleeve, making light to any situation. His most memorable moments were those spent with his ex wife, Sherry (Louis) Maki and their five children in southeastern Wisconsin, where they resided for 13 years. Building, camping, and large bonfires were among the many lasting memories made during those years.

John is survived by his children: Jessica (Randy) O’Day, Sherry, John, Brianna, and Cassandra Maki; grandchildren: Brayden & Nolan O’Day, Behnett & Brynlee Sandberg, Ryker Maki, and Axel Gerken; siblings: Joseph, Mike, Clyde Jr, David, Billy, Linda, Michelle, Sherrie, and step sister Sheila. John was also an uncle, great uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Due to COVID-19, services will be for immediate family only. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date, TBD.
