John's obituary

John Wayne Lisenby of Philomath, OR passed on January 24, 2022. Wayne was born July 21, 1941 in Darlove, Mississippi to Herbert and Beatrice (Isaacs) Lisenby. He married Karren Anne Connor June 23, 1961 in Drain, OR. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage in June. Wayne enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He was a good friend to many and helped those in need when he could. He was a dedicated, hard worker, working in the cedar mill industry over 40 years. Wayne had three things on his bucket list and was able to achieve them all…owned his own business, earned his pilots license, and traveled to Alaska.
He is survived by his wife Karren, daughters Misty (Dan) Jackson and Jill Gassner, 2 grandchildren, Marissa Armas and Dylan Gassner, and brothers Ken, Jim, and Fred Lisenby. He is preceded in death by his brothers Kelly, Clifton, and Steve Lisenby.
Wayne will be deeply missed by his family. Honoring his wishes, there will not be a funeral service.  The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
