Sorry for your loss. Just learned of John's passing in Jan 2025. Lost touch with John about 1986. We just went in different directions. 1973 photo John LaPorte-Bob Wagner-Dave Fortney-Mike Fortney

Randi and I want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. John was such a unique individual, over the years I engaged in many conversations with him about a myriad of topics. Out of all the many things to discuss whether it be work related or the state of our nation, he seemed most comfortable recounting memories of his father. We always shared a common bond as his father and I are both former Marines, John would tell me about the times growing up as a Marine’s son and the places and events that molded his life. I always knew John was a good man just by the respect and admiration he showed for his dad. I admired his ability to set goals and have the fortitude and persistence to achieve them, character traits he credited to his military upbringing. I certainly wish I had spent more time with him in and outside of work, but unfortunately I believed there was plenty of time in the days ahead. He will be greatly missed by us all. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Semper Fi my brother.
