Born on July 22, 1944, in Atlanta, Georgia, John led a life marked by kindness, strength, and an unwavering devotion to his family and community.
He is deeply missed by his family and friends. John loved fiercely and was so smart. This never left him, even on his last days. He loved his wife, daughter, grandchildren, and all his family and friends.
John spent the early days of his life in the south region of the country. He went to Kansas State University for his BS in Math. While in Minnesota he met is wife Becky while looking for a local young adult church group. They dated shortly in the mid-70's and married in July of 1974. They welcomed their daughter Chris into the world in 1978 and by 1983 were settled into Aurora, CO where he raised his family. They attended Smoky Hill United Methodist Church where he volunteered as a Sunday School teacher for many years with his wife. After his career with the government- he spent his retired years working in retail for Dillards till he was 74.
John was a simple man who loved his family and gave his heart and presence to anyone who got close to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky; his daughter, Chris; his son-in-law, Brad; and his three treasured grandchildren, Liam, Rhys, and Serenity. John will also be deeply missed by his extended family and a close circle of friends.
