Dear Dr Appel. Susan and I just heard the terrible news of John’s unfortunate death. We are so very sorry and saddened 

John was a very special soul. I lack words to express our sadness. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

I send my sincerest condolences to John's family. John was a kind, caring soul who warmly welcomed everyone with a big smile. I became friends with John in high school during which he taught me much about philosophy, navigating the outdoors, and indie rock music. May John rest in peace and may you find solace in your memories.

Dave and Elizabeth,

There are no words to express our sadness. We remember John as a vibrant, lively, perfect play date/friend match to Jake and Kyle. We will never forget his smile and vivacity. Sending so much love and light and strength in the darkness to all of you and to Collin.

Dear family of John, 

My sympathy & prayers are with each of you. This is such a sad loss. John was the most polite & engaging young man during the period of time I spent volunteering at Bugbee while Gillen was his classmate. He had incredible social skills - a beautiful smile, anmazing eye contact & greeted me by name ALWAYS! He made my day brighter just coming into contact with him, even briefly! 

Prayers & wishes for the healing of all who knew & loved John.

John was working with iris prior to my arrival to the company, he was my trainer in everything H&D we shared months together driving daily around Hartford and talking about our life’s and goals. His heart was gold I’ve watched him share his last meal even clothing with others in need, he would never second guess always giving to anyone. I am

Lucky to have had such an amazing person to learn from and you will be missed daily!

Sending my deepest condolences to the Kozak family...Although John was part of the TAC community for only a brief time, he will be greatly missed by those of us who had the pleasure of meeting him and getting to know his beautiful heart! And we will be keeping your family close in thought and prayer in the coming weeks and months.
