John's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John Russell Knowles on October 5, 2023. Born November 24, 1954 in Pictou. He was the son of Stephen (Stan) and Gemma (Porier).

John worked as a pipe fitter at the Pictou shipyard, Halifax, British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. He was passionate about classic cars and trucks and his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

John is survived by his sons, Dylan and Lincoln. Daughters-in-law, Sarah and Jimi, brother, Stephen, grandchildren, Kaylee, Mady, Kaylena, and Jasiah, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his parents Stan and Gemma Knowles, his brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Robert, and David.

John's family will forever cherish the precious memories they have of him. His legacy will endure through his sons; it is a legacy of love and strength.

John's life was impactful, and it will always be celebrated. His memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who were privileged to know and love him.
