John was my boss at the MGW Airport and as another eager 16-17yo aviator - JJ sold me and my partner, Harold Poland, his redone 1943 Aeronca L3B - a USArmy spotter version of the 65hp Champ!

My condolences to John's family. I first met John when we were both quite young and on vacation at our grandparents' home in Houtzdale, PA. We, all the cousins would often played in grandad's workshop in the basement of his home. Rest in peace, John.
