My dearest Kim, Lauren, Live & Nick,

I keep you all in my heart in these difficult moments. I was trying to remember when I met Jack for the first time. I think he was just 2 or 3yrs old. Found memories just watching him play and Kimi talking to him and smiling with words a mother can only utter. Know that I will always honor Jack's memories and I will always love you as my family.

I’m James Cox’s mother, Tina. He told me that they had the same homeroom last year, and that John “Jack” was sitting in the back of the room alone so James walked up and introduced himself. He asked John if he liked Star Wars, and from there, their friendship began. They didn’t have any classes together in 6th grade except homeroom, but became hallway buddies. And in 7th grade ate lunch together at times. James is very saddened by his passing; I did not know John “Jack”, but wish I had. I feel blessed that our sons touched each other’s lives, and became friends. God bless your family, please know that your loved, and that we’re praying for you.
