Another month has gone by, and I sent a scorching letter to Luther Snoke, CEO of San Bernardino County, regarding John Huff's estate being stolen from his heirs:

Luther Snoke

Chief Executive Officer

San Bernardino County

385 North Arrowhead Avenue

San Bernardino, California 92415

RE: Tax Assessor’s Office Number 0594041206024

REPORT OF AN ONGOING CRIME AGAINST THE SAN BERNARDINO TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE BY LAUREN JILL GENTRY A/K/A LAURIE GENTRY WHICH SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY TAX ASSESSOR HAS FAILED TO INVESTIGATE!!!

Dear San Bernardino CEO Luther, Snoke:

I am reporting a crime being perpetuated against the San Bernardino Tax Assessor’s Office with regard to Parcel Number 0594041206024, also known as 55524 Yucca Trail, Space 24, Yucca Valley, California 92284-2562, which San Bernardino Tax Assessor Josie Gonzales has failed to investigate over the last year since I originally reported the crime.

The property is owned by the Estate of John Norman Huff, who passed away on June 24, 2021. [See Enclosed]. Mr. Huff was a First Responder and EMT, and accordingly his identity was protected by California Government Code Section 6254,21. [See Page11]. However, his Obituary identified him. John Huff was my neighbor and my friend. He is survived by his three children, John Charles Huff, Stephen Huff, and Daniel Huff. They are unable to sell their late father’s “uninhabitable” property because it is inhabited and lived in by Squatter Lauren Jill Gentry, and because SB Tax Assessor Josie Gonzales won’t do a thing about it!

Mr. Huff purchased the mobile home from Gilbert Shert on 10-05-2005, [See Page 5], for $34,000.

The property was declared condemned with Tax Code TAX-IVA, meaning inadequate value, after Mr. Huff abandoned the property during sometime in 2009.

Specifically, and particularly, between the years 2009-2016, the property was assessed $7,000, with a Non-Occupying [NOX] Exemption of $7,000, leaving a Net Value of Zero.

In 2018, the non-occupying property became occupied by a Trespasser, Lauren Jill Gentry a/k/a Laurie Gentry, who has occupied the property ever since as a Squatter. Reference: California Senate Bill 602, (SB 602), which went into effect on January 1, 2024, refer to definitions.

While Ms. Gentry may argue her Squatter’s Rights [although thus far she has never pursued any such thing] under Adverse Possession [since she lives in the mobile home, pays her maintenance to Fairway Mobile Estates not as a renter, but deceptively and criminally as an “owner” at a much lower rate, without ever having notifying Mike Brase, the owner of Fairway Mobile Estates, that John Norman Huff no longer is alive, and she also pays her own electric bill to Southern California Edison at that address, and has a California Driver’s License and a black 2000 Toyota Van in her name parked and domiciled at the same address], and thereby her ongoing crime is as follows:

LAUREN JILL GENTRY a/k/a LAURIE GENTRY HAS DECEPTIVELY, DELIBERATELY, AND CRIMINALLY FAILED TO NOTIFY THE SAN BERNARDINO TAX ASSESSOR’S OFFICE THAT SHE HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY RESIDING AND LIVING IN A MOBILE HOME ASSESSED AS “NON OCCUPYING EXEMPT” WITH A ZERO TAX RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE LAST SEVEN YEARS, THEREBY DEFRAUDING SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY IN LEGITIMATE TAX PAYMENTS FROM THE YEARS 2018-PRESENT.

SAN BERNARDINO TAX ASSESSOR JOSIE GONZALES HAS BEEN NOTIFIED BY ME OVER A YEAR AGO IN WRITING OF THIS CRIME BEING COMMITTED AND HAS REFUSED TO REMOVE JOHN NORMAN HUFF’S NAME FROM THE TAX ROLLS, AND HAS REFUSED TO REASSESS THE MOBILE HOME IN SPACE 24 AS A HABITABLE DWELLING.

Photographs of Lauren Jill Gentry a/k/a Laurie Gentry are enclosed, and the second picture was taken by me of Ms. Gentry in her kitchen in the so-called “condemned and non-occupiable structure.”

Her crimes are (1) Failing to notify San Bernardino Tax Assessor’s Office that she is living in a non-occupiable structure for the past 7 years that (2) belongs to the heirs of the deceased listed owner with San Bernardino, who is John Norman Huff. The children of John Norman Huff are listed above.

As far as the Criminal Matter I have brought to your attention along with the attached pages of evidence and exhibits, I am ready, willing, and able to testify before the Grand Jury against Ms. Gentry, if called upon to do so, and against San Bernardino Tax Assessor Josie Gonzales for failing to investigate and report this crime to you, SB CEO Snoke, as well as the appropriate criminal and judicial authorities, as well as her deliberate failure to reassess this property once notified.

Your response is duly awaited, Mr. Snoke.

Respectfully,

Steven Fishman

Apparently, Audrey, Emma, and Paisley Huff don't give a damn about their inheritance from their grandfather, otherwise they would have kicked squatter Laurie Gentry out of his mobile home, which is STILL IN HIS NAME!!!
We enjoyed drinking Trader Joe's Pineapple Juice together. What a great neighbor! What a shame a squatter named Lauren Gentry has moved into his mobile home at 55524 Yucca Trail, Space 24, and none of his children and heirs have asserted a claim to get the squatter evicted from their inherited property!

My name is Steven Fishman.  I was John Huff's neighbor.  Why aren't any of John's heirs claiming his mobile home at 55524 Yucca Trail, Space 24, Yucca Valley, California 92284, which is still listed in John's name with the San Bernardino Tax Assessor's Office?  A squatter named Lauren Jill Gentry has been living tax-free in John's mobile home since John died, since the home was declared "uninhabitable" and tax-exempt, in spite of the fact that the mobile home is in perfect condition.  Why haven't any of John's heirs, like David Huff, for example, claimed this property and threw Lauren Gentry out of there?  Someone in John's family should call me, Steven Fishman 949 382-4254, or email me at stevenfishman7781@gmail.com and I will help you, at no charge, just as a blessing in John Huff's memory.  The mobile home belongs to John's heirs and not to this squatter living there.
What a pity that none of John Norman Huff's heirs have been in contact with the San Bernardino Tax Assessor's Office to inquire why a squatter named Lauren Jill Gentry has been living in John's mobile home at 55524 Yucca Trail, Space 24, Yucca Valley, California 92284, instead of claiming this property on behalf of David Huff and the other heirs, which they are absolutely entitled to.

John and I worked together on the Ambulance in the early 90's. He was the best partner anyone could ask for. Ever present, ever supportive, kind and competent. I have often thought back on those years as some of the most fun and meaningful of my life. I am so thankful that John was a part of my life!
Hard to believe it's been one year. You will always be remembered for your kindness!
My condolences to John's family. I first met John when [ describe how you know each other ] and we would often [ include common activities together ].

Sometimes there is no words to express the sorrow. I was blessed to call him my best friend. He loved his family so much ❤️ God Bless you all.
You were a father figure for me in the household when I was very young, it was thanks to you that I truly found a passion for playing soccer and baseball altogether. I remember I would get so excited when you would come and take pictures at my games when you had the chance.. I wish I could have made the extra time to get that planned lunch with me and Mikayla. I will miss you deeply John.

John was an amazing man. He was a classmate, best friend, prayer partner, and confidant all rolled into one. We spent hours on the phone praying for others and studying the Bible. He was truly a man of God and a caring friend. He loved his work as a 1st responder and was good at what he did. 9-11 was tragic in itself, but the 1st responders still dying because of the toxins encountered there make it even more tragic. He was a hero to me in so many ways. I loved him more than he will ever know and this hole in my heart from losing him will take time to heal. Jesus can’t come back soon enough! Looking forward to that great reunion day when he will be free from pain. No more separation or death. Come, Lord Jesus!!!
