John's obituary
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of John Hudson, a beloved father, and grandfather, and a friend to many. Born on March 3, 1939, and leaving us on the 7th of October, 2025, John lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind an indelible legacy of kindness and generosity.
John is survived by his devoted daughter, Martha Hudson, and his loving son-in-law, Robert Pavlik. His spirit will be carried on by his grandsons Ashton and Marshall Pavlik. He was predeceased by his cherished daughter, Roxy Pavlik, whose memory remained a constant source of strength for him.
Remembered for his warm, caring, and compassionate nature, John had the unique ability to make everyone he met feel special. He instilled in others the valuable lesson of enjoying and respecting nature, a theme that was often reflected in his favorite recreational activities - hiking, fishing, and walks in the park.
John had a strong passion for life which was evident in his varied interests. Always cheering for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, he cherished the adrenaline and camaraderie that came with sports. He could often be found savoring his favorite drink - a crisp Diet Coke, perhaps at his local favorite, Troy Blacks BBQ and watching the game.
His favorite vacation spot was Florida, where he loved basking in the sunshine and soaking in the carefree atmosphere while visiting with his grandchildren. A man of simple pleasures, John's leisure time activities and locations reflected his love for life in its purest and most organic forms.
We mourn John's passing deeply but find comfort in the rich and loving legacy he leaves behind. His life story is not just one of longevity, but of quality and depth. As we navigate through this time of loss, we are reminded of the values he espoused and the magnanimity he embodied. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will forever remain in our hearts.
