Erin & Family - So very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in 2015, and still miss him every single day. Please know that it does get a little easier and the memories you share will be the most comforting. April 8th must hold a very magical and powerful place in the universe, as it was also my parents' wedding anniversary. 1994, Local Press Photo Shoot

One of my favorite set of memories was going on photo shoots with my Dad while he was the photographer for the Blairstown Press. Having "press access" to events was always so exciting. He would then bring me to the darkroom to develop the photos together. I learned the craft of photography from him, and was able to get my first job in college as a photography lab technician because of all the time I spent with him in the darkroom. I'll always remember him letting me practice loading the film reel using the dark bag and playing with photograms. He even let me pick the music (at that time it was generally the Lion King soundtrack or Willie Nelson), which we played via cassette tape on his boombox. I'll fondly remember those times in the darkroom together for the rest of my life. — with Erin Pomponio
