Jack's obituary
On December 8th, 2023 John (Jack) Heidenreich peacefully passed away at home with his dog Buford by his side at the age of 55.
He was born November 5th, 1968 in Minneapolis and grew up riding trains, playing music, skateboarding, and causing trouble all over Minneapolis.
Anyone who knew Jack knew how kind, funny, and creative he was. He lived many different lives, had many different adventures, and helped many people along the way. He will be remembered for the influence he had on the Minneapolis Punk scene in the 80s with his band Outcry, his activism, his love of all people, and his love of Jesus that he shared by preaching and living in a way that honored Him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean Heidenreich, and his father, Doug Heidenreich.
He is survived in death by Tom Gifford, his sisters Lisa Heidenreich and Beth Heidenreich, his daughters Emily Niemi (Sam), Olivia Heidenreich (Demetrio), Ivy Heidenreich (Aaron), and Bella Breth (Justin) as well as his 7 grandchildren Eva, Ezra, Esequiel, Xiomara, Madeline, Yetzel, and Luciana. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held January 2nd at the Parkway theater in Minneapolis, MN.
Doors at 1 PM, service at 2 PM, open mic and reception to follow 3-5 PM.
