JOHN CARL HASTI

John Hasti, 73, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on October 25th.

John was born on December 29, 1949 in Minneapolis to John and Viola Hasti. He grew up in north Minneapolis and graduated from North High School. He married Mary Harris on September 19, 1969. Together, they made a life with their four children in both Cokato, MN and Scottsdale, AZ.

John had several jobs throughout his life, but he was most proud of his cleaning business, ProCare Services, which he owned and operated with Mary for 14.5 years. Once they sold that business, they both obtained their real estate license and continued to work in real estate for over 20 years in both Minnesota and Arizona. John also secured his broker license during that time. In retirement, John thoroughly enjoyed the job he had secured with Earnhardt Toyota in Mesa, AZ as a courtesy driver.

John absolutely loved driving and road trips via both car and his motorcycle. He preferred driving to Minnesota to see family and friends over flying. He loved getting on his motorcycle and taking day trips where ever the roads took him throughout Arizona.

John also enjoyed golfing for many years up until recently. While they still lived in Minnesota, he loved fishing, especially with his grandkids when they were young. One of his favorite past times was eating out....especially for Mexican food. He had traveled to many countries including Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Guatemala, and Mexico. He had also driven a bus for multiple mission trips with Darrell Dobbelmann to Mexico.

John and Mary had moved to Arizona twice. The first time was back in 1971 for 10 years and then they moved back again in 2003. In 2020, they moved from Green Valley, AZ to Apache Junction to be closer to their daughter, Julie, and her husband, Casey.

John had a deep faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and because of that we know that he has been reunited with those that left this world before him. We will look forward to the day that we are all together again in Heaven.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary, Apache Junction, AZ; son Richie (Heather) of Cokato, MN, daughter Julie Jaeger (Casey) of Apache Junction, AZ; grandchildren Courtney (Chris) Hicks, Paige Hasti, Maddison Hasti and Brandon Hasti, Jordan Hasti, Ariana (Tanner) Terning, daughter-in-law Shelly Hasti of Darwin, MN, 10 great grandchildren with #11 on the way, sister Carolyn Kovala of Ishpeming, MI, and two nieces Bonnie Johnson and Kristiina Kovala.

John was preceded in death by his sons, Tony Hasti and Jerrod Hasti, parents John and Viola Hasti, father-in-law Wallace Harris, mother-in-law Helen Harris, and brother-in-law Mark Harris.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, December 3, 2023 in Apache Junction, AZ as well as on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Cokato, MN. Details about both events are to come.
