I am so thankful I had the opportunity to know Jack Greenfield as a caring, wonderful teacher at Ocean View HS in Huntington Beach. He is always remembered by classmates of mine as a favorite, and a mentor in education and life itself! My deepest condolences to his family who love him deeply. It was truly and honor to know him and his smile is forever on my heart. Semper Paratus! Fair winds and following seas Mr. Greenfield.

I met my Uncle Jack the day I was born, to his beloved sister Virginia.

Dear Greenfield Family

I am so sorry for your loss. I have never met John but I came across John’s obituary in looking at a friend of ours. And I felt moved to share with you a message that has helped me in such a sad and difficult time. Death is the oldest enemy for mankind and it takes our most beloved ones away from us. I have found comfort in knowing that soon Jehovah our God will rid us of death. 1 Corinthians 15:26 says And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing. Ridding us of death will be such an exceptional blessing, but God will not stop there. Acts 24:15 talks about a beautiful hope that will bring many of us joy. A hope that many of us can find joy in…the resurrection. We will get to hold our loved ones again. God promises it. I hope that in such a difficult you can find comfort and strength to endure till the day we can see our loved ones again!

Debbie, I just learned of Jack's passing and am so sorry for your loss. I want you to know he was a very supportive & encouraging Christian friend (and principal, boss),  especially when I was going through some very huge challenges in my life. His support made a positive difference in my life, and many others.

He always spoke so highly of you. I know he deeply loved you & was so proud you were his wife. I was proud to have him as a friend & co-worker.

My heart is with you in sympathy.

D.D. Wilmot

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. This traditional Irish blessing is an ancient Celtic prayer.

Commodore, Bob Killeen
