John's obituary

John Geiss, 61, of Centerport, NY, passed away on July 10, 2021. John was born in Bergenfield, NJ and was among the first in the Geiss family to attend Harborfields High School. He was an Elevator Constructor at Otis Elevator Co. for over 35 years and was a proud member of IUEC Local One.

John was predeceased by his mother Carol Hoerner Geiss and brother Joseph Geiss. He is survived by his wife Yulita "Julie" Geiss, daughter Melissa Geiss, father John N. Geiss, sister Barbara Geiss Hanna (Robert Hanna), sister Kathryn Geiss, brother Peter Geiss (Nicoletta Devito Geiss), sister-in-law Kim Borrelli, nephew Stephen Plackis (Tanya Brandes-Plackis), niece Danielle Hanna Modugno (Michael Modugno), nephew T.J. Borrelli, niece Gabriella Geiss, grandnephew Cameron Modugno and countless cousins and relatives.

John was a private person who wanted a simple funeral service and burial. He would be delighted by your attendance and any contribution toward a loving sendoff.
