John Francis Beverley

A Army Veteran of WWll, died at 99.
He was a descendent of one of the first Afro-American families who in 1880 brought land in Colesville, Maryland at Norwood and Holly Grove roads. Also called Holly Grove, a historic black community

After serving in the Army, he worked and retired from the Department of Navy.

John Francis Beverley farmed the land growing fruits, vegetables and nut trees all during his life. Also a devoted member of his church.

He had a house built on part of the land his grandfather brought in 1880, which was his home until he died.

He leaves two sister's, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

God bless him and rest in peace.
