Memorial Music Scholarship Fund
The John Felder Memorial Music Scholarship Fund was established to honor the life, passion, and lasting impact of Dr. John Felder, whose love for music and dedication to the Lynbrook High School music community continues to inspire those around them.
This annual scholarship will provide up to $2,000 to support a Lynbrook High School music student in pursuing further musical growth through a summer music program or experience of their choice. The fund is intended to encourage young musicians to deepen their skills, creativity, and connection to music.
Each year, the scholarship will be awarded at the Lynbrook High School year-end concert to a rising freshman, sophomore, or junior who is actively involved in the school’s music program and demonstrates commitment, passion, and promise in their musical journey. The scholarship will be awarded based on criteria established by the Lynbrook High School Booster organization and final award decisions will be made by a designated selection committee in accordance with the organization's policies.
All donations made through this page will be directed to the Lynbrook High School Music Boosters, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which will administer the scholarship fund. All funds will be controlled by the organization and will support student scholarships in honor of Dr. John Felder.
This is a perpetual award, to be given annually for as long as funds are available, ensuring that John’s legacy continues to support and uplift future generations of student musicians.
Through this scholarship, we hope to celebrate not only musical achievement, but also the spirit of dedication, curiosity, and the joy of music that John shared with his students and brought into our lives. Contribute
