John Patrick Favor
March 17, 1960 – January 1, 2026
John Patrick Favor, 65, of Corte Madera, California, passed away on January 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and generosity that touched countless lives throughout his remarkable journey.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on March 17, 1960, John carried the spirit of his birthplace throughout his life—resilient, authentic, and deeply connected to those around him. After serving his country with honor in the United States Navy, John built a distinguished career that culminated in his role as Chief Engineer at China Basin Landing, where his expertise, work ethic, and leadership earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and community members alike.
A caring, thoughtful, and generous man, John had an extraordinary ability to make others feel valued and supported. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply his steady presence, he enriched the lives of family, friends, and everyone fortunate enough to know him. His warmth and genuine care for others created lasting bonds that will continue to inspire those he left behind.
John is survived by his beloved daughter, Sara Allison Favor of Kings Beach, California, who was the light of his life; his siblings Maryjane and Terrance, and his nephew’s Danny and Steve and nieces Kelly and Danielle (Phil) and their daughters, Madelyn, Elizabeth and Avery. His siblings Regina, Jim, Steve and Vincent predeceased him. All of whom he shared a lifetime of memories; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
John's life was a testament to the power of generosity, the importance of hard work, and the enduring value of treating others with dignity and respect. Though he has left this world, the impact of his kindness and the example of his character will live on in all who knew him.
