Hi I'm Brooke domke, my Uncle John's niece my dad Earl Domke, John's brother has named him executive to take care of his things but we are destitute broke barely had money to fly my dad up there we still need to get a death certificate and he's at the Wayne county morgue my uncle's been there for over 2 weeks and we just want to get him cremated so we can bring him home to Florida and it's really stressful we just don't have the money to even get a death certificate or have a service we just want to get him cremated and out of the morgue very sad he died on a 70th birthday he was a Vietnam vet ,he was a great guy ,he was all alone up there and the neighbor did a wellness check after no one seen him for you know 3-4 days or a week and they went in there and he was dead on his birthday they said they're not sure just natural causes ,he was pretty old he's been through a lot in his life
It's a very painful time for me and my dad ,that him and John were very close we tried with family and no one can help the costs I just want to put my uncle John to rest instead of laying in the morgue for 3 weeks now it's sad that we don't have the money to do it ,I would never had to raise money before ððĻI pray that people out there will have some compassion and be able to help us the covid has really affected a lot of people I'm out of work and Dad's on disability is 65 he barely gets enough to survive hiself. John was a great man ,he was a funny guy I loved him my Dad loved him and we lost my grandma dorthy and my dad's other brother Keith domke to cancer and a lot of people lately ,and it does hit as hard with John especially not being able to even afford to get his body back home we hate to ask for help but we have no other choice.
