Marge, I hope you see this. I have had some tragedy too.  Please look me up on FB and send me a message.  I am still in medical practice, now in Arvada. I saw a patient who went to Rangeview and this is why I looked up Andy.  Love, David Yamamoto

We were shocked and heartbroken to hear this sad sad news.  Andy and I coached softball @ Grandview together back in the early 2000's, met his beautiful wife and kids at that time.  Janessa and I were pregnant with our girls who ended up playing Spartans ball together years later - such a small world!  He was a fantastic coach, father and husband and will be missed.

Sending love to Janessa and your beautiful kiddos.  Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers and if there is anything you need, anything at all, please know we are here.

The Keeton Family is keeping the family in prayers and sending positive thoughts. Thanks for coaching our sons
You’ll be missed coach Andy. One of the best coaches I’ve ever had. He had such a natural way of building rapport with people.

I was blessed to have Andy as my boss for 7 years and he was the best boss I’ve ever had and one of the best people I’ve known. The teachers loved him as their administrator and his door was always open to anyone who needed anything. He was willing to help with anything that needed to be done around the school from helping me stick labels on test answer sheets, to setting up cafeteria tables for check-in. Nothing was beneath him and I never heard anyone say anything bad about Andy. Some of my best memories of working at CT were of him sitting on the couch in Office 170 and telling his funny stories. He had so many !! He was the person who I could always ask about fixing things around the house, and he always “had a guy” for anything I needed from a mechanic to the metal man. He helped to make my job at CT so fun and never stressful. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers as I can’t imagine the hole he has left.
Andy was always the life of the party. You are all a light in the world. I know I haven't seen you for quite a while, but I wanted you all to know that I am sending love your way. Nathan and Hannah grew up in your house. In a lot of ways, we all grew up in your house. I love you all.
Andy’s kind face will forever be etched in my memory. I cannot begin to imagine your sorrow but know I am praying you are all able to find the comfort and peace that I know Andy would want for each of you. I am so very sorry. With all my love, Cori
We have fond memories of camping and hunting with Andy and Sam in Arizona and western Colorado. Andy was such a good kid (and he will always be a kid to us) and he grew into a great husband and father. We are sorry for your loss.

Andy coached both of my boys. He was a role model and continues to be. I am so thankful for the time he spent with them. He will be truly missed.
I’ve know Dewitt since 1995. He was the first year coach at Rangeview and at the time I was thinking of giving up baseball all together. I had a bad experience with an interim coach and was ready to focus on other sports. Andy asked that I give him one summer of playing together before I decide to quit. Thanks god he did. I found love for the game again. He was an amazing Coach. He made the game fun and knew how to talk to you. He always had the best stories. He made a major impact on my life. I nearly walked away from a Sport I love to this day. A sport that enabled me to play for the Oakland Athletic organization. A sport that helped get me through college and a sport that had a major impact on my life....if it wasn’t for Andy Dewitt, I honestly don’t know where I’d be today. He saved Baseball for me and I can’t thank him enough for it.

Today was a beautiful celebration of Andy. The girls’ poems, Janessa’s talk, and the special friends and family who contributed today brought out the Andy we all love. I don’t know how you all did it- bringing comfort and humor to all those there when we all know how much you are hurting. I admire your bravery today. Andy would be proud. I hope you all felt surrounded by the love today. Thank you for letting me be a part of today’s celebration of Andy.
We are so saddened for your loss. Sam is such a great person and am sure Andy was the same. Our hearts break for the whole family. May peace be with you all.
We are heartbroken for the entire Dewett family. Andy was an incredible role model as Danny's varsity coach. His was always so calm, easy going, fun and approachable. I know it's not easy dealing with all the parents of the players but Andy always did so with grace.

Thank you Andy for touching so many lives including ours, but most importantly our sweet Avery and her daddy, Jordan.

Sending all a virtual hug.

Landon and Beth Muhsmann
Andy was special to me from the moment I met him. We coached some amazing girls together. He was kind, respectful, loyal, caring, and committed. I was lucky to call him a friend. When I left Grandview, he took my place, fittingly. He continued to be special even as our careers took us to different places. Andy continued to be special to me. I am heartbroken for all of us who knew him. I am heartbroken for Jenessa and the kids. Rest In Peace, Andy. You made a huge difference. Thank you for being such a good friend.
Having the pleasure of teaching 5 of his children, it was obvious Andy emphasized the importance of education while instilling those valuable morals and values. The whole Dewett family has legendary status at Trails West Elementary. God bless you. Todd Campbell
