This is such sad news. My condolences to his family and friends. The world just lost a great guy.
In 1999, my 8th grade summer, I took coach Dewetts hitting and pitching camp and loved it. He was a great coach. In fact I went to Grandview highschool just so I could play baseball for him. I ended up breaking my thumb that summer and didn't play baseball for Grandview. But I got to know Andy from other school activities. Also through his family members and social events for many years after I graduated. He was a good man and I'll miss him.

This is very sad. I am so sorry this happened. Andy was an amazing man and could definitely jam out to some r&b. I’ll miss him a lot and if anyone needs anything I’m here. Heaven gained an amazing father and man and now he will be looking after his family sitting proud with a smile on his face watching you all grow up and succeed. Love you all!

Andy was always genuinely kind to me. He went out of his way to help me and many others. His desk was graced with so many pictures of his family, and our conversations about family revealed such pride and happiness in any story he shared. We will miss his presence and positive influence.
