Our beloved father,  John David Allen passed away at the age of 81 in his home in Topeka, Kansas.  He was born April 2, 1944 in Mobile, Alabama. 

Dave was a devoted father,  despite some road blocks. He was a parent who provided unconditional, unwavering  and lifelong paternal love and support. We always felt cherished to the fullest extent possible. 

He is survived by his daughter's, Rayne-Dawn and Heather.  His former wife, Liz. Multiple grandchildren and great- grandchildren and his current wife and her 2 adult children. 

Dave served proudly in the United States Airforce for well over 2 decades, then moved on to be employed for many years @ KG&E. Towards the end of his working days, he selflessly substituted as a teacher for troubled youth.

He enjoyed watching the Dodgers play and the occasional round of golf.

He will be remembered for his ginormous giving and loving heart. His integrity, honesty and dedication to his children. 

He will be receiving a Honored Military, Hail and Farewell ceremony that will be closed for just family at a later date.
