It was a pleasure to renew a friendship with John and remember him as a kind, honest and straight shooter.  No BS from John.
John was one of the few people in my high school and hometown area, that there were good people in the world!
When I was in high school, I was riding my bicycle out on the main road that runs past Greenville. I was getting tired and pushing my bike up a steep hill. John drove by in his convertible with the top down and stopped and said to put the bike in the back seat and he would give me a lift home. Needless to say that act of kindness to me has never been forgotten.

I was a classmate of John at Mascenic High School.  And it was great to reconnect with him after all those years since 1973.   He stood out to me among all my peers, as calm, kind and generous.  Glad Carla and I got to see him and Paola on our trips to Florida.  He will be missed.  I learned from him that there were good people during those "days" in high school.  He was a good man!

RIP John ! You were truly loved and will be forever missed by your family and friends. I remember when we made Orena’s a weekly wind down to our hectic week. We all had such fun!
I miss my Dad. Especially today (St. Patrick’s Day), we would make a point to chat. I’ll miss French fries with him and his “hey hey” greeting when we got on the phone. He was always kind and gentle, even when I did something I shouldn’t. I love you Dad!
John, You are going to be missed by so many. I'm going to miss your smiling face and your laughter. You were always so fun to be around. You were such a caring man and loved your family so much. My thoughts and prayers go out to them!! Rest in peace, my friend!!!

I’m truly going to miss seeing John when I visit my friends/family in Florida. John was always a pleasure to be around. He was a man I looked up to because his character was kind, devoted and real. I’ll never forget the good times we’ve had and shared over the many years I had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest in peace dear friend you’ll be dearly missed. Thanks for all the great memories.
So sorry to hear about Johns passing.  No surprise that he worked almost till the end.  He was a caring and supportive friend.  And he will be missed deeply.  R.I.P John till we meet again!
