John's obituary
John was born on January 8, 1946 to John and Shirley Daly in Minneapolis, MN. After graduating from St. Louis Park Senior High in 1964, he went on to serve in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
After returning home, he worked at various jobs, including Willy's Rubbish, when his co-worker introduced him to his future wife, Carole. They met in February 1974 and wed in June 1974, going on to raise two children, Sean and Kathy.
John was a dedicated husband and father, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. He was unendingly proud of Sean, Kathy, and Carole and always tried his best to support them.
Anyone who knew John knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. John was predeceased by father, John Sr, mother, Shirley, sister, Linda, wife, Carole and Karen, neice. He is survived by Sean (Jen) Daly, son, Kathy Tester (Daly), daughter, grandsons Justin, Connor, Matthew and Nathan, brothers, Mike and Jim and sister, Vicki. He is also survived by many loving neices, nephews and extended family members.
There will be a celebration of life on June 6, 2021 at the American Legion in Apple Valley, MN. With internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. Final details are pending.
