I got to know John through his daughter, Cary, and the lasting impression he left was what a great father he was. He loved his daughters very much and every time he interacted with them I was shown what an attentive and caring father should be. His care and compassion extended to their friends as well and my memories of him will always be a happy one. Each time I came over he always welcomed me with open arms and made sure I was not only comfortable but also included in feeling like I was part of the family. I know how much  his daughters are going to miss him but I hope they finds solace in knowing how lucky they were to have had each other. He was truly a harbor holding back the sea to his children. My condolences to his daughters and to those who were close to him.

We met John when our son was three years old.  John took him fishing and taught him about the river and wildlife in the river.  We had a lot of fun, memorable weekends at the river cottage.  John was always fun and kind to our son.  Doug and I often talk about him and remember the good times.  He was a good man and we are so sorry for your loss.  We will continue to keep his memory alive with our memories.

From Babysitter to Nurse to Family Friend Forever 💞.  My time spent assisting John to appointments was very enjoyable for both of us. We always discussed our children over a cup of coffee. His favorite subject was his Girls. I always listened to his stories as if it was my first time hearing them. My objective was to give him the best of care and he appreciated each experience with dignity.  Ladies, I'll miss your Dad.  My heart goes out to you both.

Love You Cary💕

I love you, Dad. You were truly my rock, my hero, my protector and my best friend my entire life. Not a day will go by without me missing you immensely. Thank you for always being there for me at any given time I needed you.  I admire your unconditional love for both of your daughters,  your independence and how kind you were to everyone.  I will miss your jokes, infectious laughter,  kind soul,  and your unwavering support.  I know you are watching over both of us now and forever.  You truly were an amazing Dad.  I don’t know how I would have gotten through my life this far without you.  Until we meet again, ♥️.
