John Collins Jr., 66, of Tatum, TX passed away on June 17, 2019 at his home.

Memorial services for John will be held Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10am at the Lighthouse Church at 5925 West Marshall Ave in Longview, TX. Services will be led by nephew Brother Randy Tyree.

John was born on February 26, 1953. He graduated from Clyde High School, Clyde, OH, in 1972.

John served in the United States Army from 1972-1976, and was stationed in Korea for one year.

John was self-employed for much of his life, owning Ace Tire in Tatum, TX, until 2004, after which he worked in construction.

John is survived by his two children, Melody Collins and John Jeffery Collins; his four grandchildren, Hope and Faith Collins and Logan and Harmony Haden; his great-grandson Odin John Collins; his sister Betty Collins Adams; his sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Henry Tyree; his brother Eli Merrill; his nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Collins and Parthene Collins; his brother William (Bill) Collins; and Rachel Nix, wife of 27 years.

Flowers may be sent to the Lighthouse Church in Longview.
