Send flowers

Share your sympathy. Send flowers from a local florist to John's family or funeral.
John was part of my first backpacking trip and I remember him being so kind and encouraging and supportive. I knew him through my older sisters. In every encounter over the 35+ years - whether hanging out at a party, at a wedding rehearsal, or on a Zoom discussion about race, I enjoyed talking with him. He was friendly, helpful, encouraging, and supportive, interested in what I was doing and always so down-to-earth and engaging. He was so easy to talk to and I will miss him. I wish I could attend the memorial this weekend but I will be out of town for a cousin-in-law's wedding. John, you made a difference in this world and it is a better place having had you in it.
