October 30, 1969 – June 1, 2021
Trey Burns, a long-time resident of Colorado, passed away June 1, 2021, in Port Huron, Michigan, at the age of 51. Trey was born in Bossier City, Louisiana, and attended high school at Northwood High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a long-time member of the Glaziers Local Union 930 in Colorado.
Trey was a loving father who treasured spending time with family. He loved hanging out with his friends, cooking, and having good conversation. He was an avid sports fan who could never understand when other people didn’t like sports! He loved the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche and NASCAR. He had a special place in his heart for Alabama football – Roll Tide! Trey had an innate curiosity and loved learning about new things. He was constantly looking up information or calling people to ask about weird, random facts. Trey never met a stranger and was immediately liked by those who met him. He had a genuine interest people and their life stories. He was spontaneous, could be rowdy, irreverent, and goofy, and no one ever knew what he might do or say next! Trey’s laughter and big personality will be missed by all.
Trey is survived by his sister, Janelle Hedges of North Carolina, his children, James and Taylor of Colorado, Rebecca and Bobby of Alabama, grandchildren Kaden, Kinden and Malli of Alabama, nephew Brian of Colorado, and nephews Jack and Charlie of North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his sister, CoCo Burns.
