John Brown, 77, a beloved friend, uncle and great-uncle, passed away on August 19, 2024, in Cape Coral, Florida. Born on April 8, 1947, in Edina, Minnesota, John lived a life filled with love, faith, and adventure.

John was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Vicki Brown, who passed away 18 months earlier, as well as his parents, John “Jack” and Lois Brown, and his brother, Paul Brown. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Patrick (Heidi) Brown, Daniel (Ashlyn) Brown, Staci (Nick) Gambino, and Courtney (Jeff) Thompson. John was a proud great-uncle to Adeyla, Alexa, Cia, Cade and Jace. The family appreciates the love and support that his neighbors provided after Vicki’s death.

John and Vicki made many life-long friends through their boating and ski club days in Minnesota, before retiring to North Fort Myers, FL and creating a community within their church.

John's spirit will be remembered for his kindness, his love for music and his unwavering faith. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, John’s wishes were that donations be made to his church, Cape Coral First United Methodist Church. A memorial service is being planned for November 2024.
