John Dell Bradshaw was born on November 11, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was called home on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 66. There to welcome him were his parents, Elton and Roma Bradshaw.

John was raised in Murray, Utah. He was 23 years old when he met the love of his life, Rebecca Sue Neilsen. It was clear from the beginning they were meant to be a family. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on August 13, 1980, and raised four children.

John was a devoted and steadfast member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served faithfully in the North Carolina Mission as a young adult, and was earnest and dutiful in his church callings as a Sunday School teacher, in the Young Men’s program, and as a Scout Leader. He especially loved working with the youth, who thrived under his direction and care.

John was passionate about all aspects of sports - playing, watching, and coaching. He was the star of his football team at Murray High School and was a devoted BYU football fan. He had a large, fun-loving personality and brightened every room with his quick wit and sarcastic humor. He was equally tender-hearted, approachable, and gentle. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, whether boating on Lake Powell, golfing with his wife and friends, or showcasing his masterful skills at the grill.

Above all else, John had a deep and unwavering love for his family and friends. He was loyal, dependable, and selfless. He made endless sacrifices to ensure those around him were cared for, and never hesitated to set aside his own needs in the service of others. His greatest joy in life was being a grandfather to his fourteen beautiful grandchildren. He was active and involved in the lives of each of his children and grandchildren, and rarely missed a school performance or sporting event. He was truly their biggest cheerleader and often appeared right on the field or court, coaching the team. He drove them to and from activities as young children, and later, taught them to drive themselves. He was playful and fun, and was the first to cannonball into the pool, play football with his boys at the park, or pack up the boat for a day at the lake.

John was a remarkable husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and sacrifice will be continued by his wife, Becky; his children, Tori (Kent) Howell, Tyler Bradshaw, Tara (Chris) Patience, and Trent (Juliann) Bradshaw; grandchildren, Austin, Brayden, Kayla, Jayce, Preston, Ashlyn, Colton, River, Beckam, Lincoln, Graham, Theo, Reagan, and Leo; and sister, Linda (Ted) Madsen. Though his service has ended here on earth, we have no doubt that he has now received an important calling in his spiritual existence, and will continue to play a very real and important role in the lives of his family, until we meet again.

There will be a viewing on Friday, November 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Gilbert Memorial Park, located at 2100 E. Queen Creek Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85297. A second visitation will be held Saturday, November 25th beginning at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 3572 E. Guadalupe Rd. Gilbert, AZ 85234. Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 25th. Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home prior to the 5:00 p.m. service.
