T-John's obituary
With a heavy heart, we share that our beloved T-John gained his wings on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024.
In Heaven, he joins those predeceased: his father, Johnny Borne, Sr., and mother, Beatrice Theresa Rogers Borne, and his beloved sister, Lucia Ann Borne Griffin. Heaven holds a great number of family members that were greatly loved.
Survived by his wife GladysAnn Glass, his Son Jason Borne and wife Leslie, and their children Logan Brett, Bailey Rae, Leah Michaela, and Landon LeBeaux.
T-John also left behind his precious daughter, Jennifer Ann Borne Weeks and her husband Hadyn who were both so supportive and caring during the battle for his health.
T-John leaves behind silblings Robin Borne Ray [Lester, deceased], brother Jade Borne-Dobbins (John Dobbins-Borne), Anna Borne Lucero and husband Richard Lucero and their children, Tyler G. Lucero and wife Ashley and children Bentley Gene, Eden Jane, and Denver Jude. And their other son Justin Reece Lucero, ne Hulsey and wife Madison.
There are literally hundreds of family members still living in Louisiana that T-John held in great affection and maintained relationships with throughout his lifetime. In particular his mother’s only surviving sister, Taunt Bertha Rogers Griffin and her family.
T-John continued to visit his family in Louisiana often and for the annual Mardi Gras Borne Family Reunion. The Borne “Bed and Breakfast” always had a room for T-John and the “Texas Gang” at the home of Aunt Peggy Bruce Borne. Her husband, Edward ‘Bo-Boy Borne, whose passing was a tremendous loss to T-John, personally, as he represented the absolute true embodiment of the Cajun Family Patriarch.
Born on Dec. 4, 1957, in Raceland, La., T-John lived in Golden Meadow and the surrounding area during his early childhood. His family moved to Texas permanently, when he was approximately 7 years old.
The Borne family truly thrived in Texas, becoming pillars of the Community as they each contributed their talent and skills in a variety of areas.
Throughout his life T-John was well known for his ability to entertain everyone around him and for how he would find the humor in absolutely any situation or location.
T-John held so many titles in his lifetime. All of these were special and meaningful to him. He wanted this to be a joyful occasion so please share your favorite story or encounter with one another and the family.
