John's obituary

John Anthony Smith was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 1st, 1961 to Ethel Juanita Smith. Raised on 13 acres in the city John had a love for the outdoors and adventure. Boating, fishing, motorcycles, shooting, foreign travel… he was always up for an adventure. He loved his old school trucks, old school music, and his vinyl records He also never met a stranger and because of that he amassed a plethora of friends from all walks of life that became his family. They could always count on him to help when he could. With his family, both born and acquired, he was lovingly known as Uncle John. For many Uncle John was the first to teach them to fish, shoot a gun, ride a motorcycle, shoot a basketball, work on a car, even BBQ. That said, while he never had children of his own, he has made a positive impact in the lives of many, and will forever live on in those memories and skills as they pass them on to their children. But all things must come to an end and as is such John passed away on September 8th, 2021 in Covington, GA. He leaves his mother Ethel Juanita Smith and a host of other extended family, acquired family, and friends to morn his passing.
