John Gilbert died February 28, 2025, at his new apartment in Texas. John leaves behind is only daughter, Christine Gilbert Scheeler, and his grandchildren, Carrie and Andrew Scheeler, as well as his son-in-law, Mike Scheeler. He also leaves behind his niece, Jacqueline Gilbert Cline from his brother Ray Irl.
