John and Anne's obituary

Anne Elizabeth Topping

February 26, 1956 - February 19, 2026

Anne Elizabeth Topping, age 69, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away on February 19, 2026.

Born on February 26, 1956, in Valparaiso, Indiana, Anne lived a life defined by love, devotion, faith, and service to others. She shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Edward Topping Sr., a partnership built on faith, commitment, and unwavering love. Together they built a life centered on family.

Anne was a woman whose greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a devoted and loving mother to Elizabeth (Milo) Garza, John (Chelsea) Topping, James Topping, Matthew Topping, and Samuel Topping. She was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Brayden Topping, Brianna Topping, Evelyn Topping, Harvey Topping, and Maria Garza. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Anne had a deep and unwavering love for God that guided her life. Her faith gave her strength, shaped her compassion, and was evident in the kindness she showed to everyone she met. She lived her beliefs daily through her generosity, patience, and servant’s heart.

She had a deep passion for baking and cooking, and her kitchen was often the heart of family gatherings. Whether preparing a favorite family recipe or trying something new, she expressed her love through every meal she made. She also loved cardinals, the beautiful red birds and found joy in watching them, a simple pleasure that always brought her peace.

Professionally, Anne was a highly respected and successful nurse. Her career reflected her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to caring for others. She touched countless lives through her kindness, skill, and genuine concern for her patients.

Anne is also survived by her brother, George Bond III, and her sister, Janet Bittner.

Anne will be remembered for her generous heart, her strong faith, and the deep love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me so that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14 1:4.

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? My tears have been my food day and night, while people say to me all day long, “Where is your God?” These things I remember as I pour out my soul: how I used to go to the house of God under the protection of the Mighty One with shouts of joy and praise among the festive throng.”

Psalm 42 1-4
