Joseph “Joey” Wells

Joseph “Joey” Wells, age 31, passed away on November 2, 2025. Born on Christmas Eve in 1993, Joey brought light, laughter, and love into the world from the very beginning.


Joey was the beloved son of Cynthia West Wells and Joseph “Joe” Wells, and the treasured stepson of Denise Wells. His siblings, Noah (Jessica) Patterson, and his sister, Kayleigh (Willie) Jackson. He was also a proud and loving uncle to his nephew, Brendan Patterson, who could always make him smile.
He is survived by his grandmother, Gayle Creech; his aunt, Missy Creech; his uncle, Danny, and aunt, Denise West; and his cousins, Kristen West, Kayla West, and Shanda Duffey. Joey was welcomed into heaven by his grandmother, Barbra Lancaster, and his grandfather, Danny West, who preceded him in death.
Joey had a gift for finding beauty in life’s simple joys. He loved his guitars and could spend hours playing music that reflected his heart and soul. He had a special place in his heart for animals. Friends and family will also remember Joey’s passion for Archery and the card game Magic: The Gathering, where his creativity and quick thinking shined brightest. His kind heart, quick wit, and creative spirit touched everyone he met, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Joey’s life was a song — full of rhythm, kindness, and love. Though his melody was far too short, it will echo forever in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
