Joel was a good friend of mine in high school from 9th grade until 11th grade when we just drifted apart. No bad blood, it just happens when you’re young.

We had quite the Adventure when we were in 10th grade. We went on a camping trip to 29 Palms with another friend and Joel was driving that 1975 Land Cruiser. His brother was on that trip also. When we got to 29 Palms we went on the trails to drive to the Sand dunes. I was sitting in the passenger seat and all of a sudden the right tire flew off the Land Cruiser and into the desert. Lol. Needless to say we were stuck. Joel‘s brother and some of the other guys came back and found us. So basically the Land Cruiser was out of commission and Joel our other friend and me had to camp out in the middle of the desert for the next couple of days. It was a blast. We started a camp fire, drank beer and listened to music. His brother went and rented a trailer to haul the Land Cruiser back to Tustin.

Joel and I also went to several concerts at Irvine Meadows. The Kinks, Motels, Billy Squire and Def Leppard.

My condolences to his wife and family. I’ll never forget the great times I had with Joel.

My condolences to the Leblanc's family. Such a shocking and sad news. It was an honor to know Joel, as a patient and Marc's brother . He was nothing but kindness , respect and pureness. He will be missed.
