Background
We're raising money to ease the financial burden of Joel's unexpected death: expenses for his memorial gathering in late October; up-front costs associated with transportation of the F/V Karolee from Eureka, CA to Port Townsend, WA; as well as funerial expenses. We are hoping to ease the burden on Ken and Karl while they tend to Joel's unsettled affairs as well as create equitable access to his memorial and to create an event deserving of our dear and generous friend.
We are incredibly grateful for everyone's initial donations to causes in Joel's honor. Let's show up and show Joel's family and friends the love and support he's shown all of us over his lifetime.
