Joel's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joel Campbell, a remarkable man whose pure heart and vibrant spirit left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. Born on February 27, 1956, Joe journeyed through life with a zest and enthusiasm that colored every aspect of his existence. Tragically, his journey came to an end on May 25, 2023.
Joe, an outgoing, friendly, and funny individual, had an infectious laughter that could light up any room. He was the life and soul of every gathering, his presence radiated warmth and joy. The best lessons he had to share were simple yet profound: "Never give up and always work for what you want." These words were not just a mantra he lived by but lessons he imparted to others.
A lover of sports, Joel was an avid supporter of The Carolina Panthers and the Dallas Cowboys. The energy and zeal of NASCAR were not lost on him either. His deep-rooted passion for sports extended beyond casual viewing as he spent many years coaching various sports and molding young athletes. Joe's greatest accomplishment and source of immense pride was watching all the kids he coached grow up to become amazing humans.
Joe had a bit of a wild side that found expression in his love for riding his motorcycle. The open road was his friend and confidant, a place where he found peace and reflected on life and its intricate nuances.
Joe is survived by his only daughter, Amber AJ Campbell and her wife Gina Campbell. Their bond was unbreakable, and his legacy will forever live on through her. Joe's passing leaves a void in many lives. He will be immensely missed by his many friends, his beloved daughter, and all who had the good fortune to know him.
While life without Joe may seem daunting, we take solace in the fact that the lessons he shared, the passion he exhibited, and the love he spread will continue to resonate. As we mourn his death, we also celebrate a life well lived.
