Joel Brandt Augustine passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, after a short illness. He grew up in Perrysburg, OH and graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1964 and the College of Wooster in 1968. He earned a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of Toledo in 1977. In 1970, he married Janice Lynn Maureen Gray, a Toronto native, on Turtle Island, Toronto. Joel lived in the Toronto area for over 50 years, most recently in Hamilton, Ontario. He taught computer science at Herzig College in Toronto for many years. He is survived by his sons Romeo (Rom) Roundhead Augustine and Raymond Roundhead Augustine and his daughter Lyndsay Megan Roundhead Augustine. His wife, Jan; mother, Doris Ruth Harman Augustine; father, Joseph Elijah Augustine; and brothers, Nathaniel Hill Augustine and Jonathan Arni Augustine, preceded him in death. He is also survived by his sister, Melissa (Michael) Augustine Cain; nephew, Bennett (Alexandra) Cain; nieces, Cara (Aleksander) Cain Radosavljevic and Emily (Spenser Sagel) Cain; and grandnieces Eva and Nadia Radosavljevic. The memorial service was private.
