Joe Howard Carroll, 64, of San Antonio, Tx, passed away surrounded by loved ones on July 1, 2025. He was born to H. F. "Tooty" and Yvonne Carroll on April 17, 1961 in Dilley, Tx.

Joe grew up in Pearsall, Tx where he attended Pearsall schools and learned farming from his Dad and other farmers of Frio County. His love and passion of farming knew no bounds. He was happiest on a tractor or combine before he could even walk. He was heartbroken when being a family farmer was no longer profitable. At this point, Joe became a truck driver in various capacities until his retirement.

Survivors include his beloved wife of over 27 years, Evelyn. He was extremely proud of his children, son Chris (Lali) Carroll, daughter Jessica Carroll, all of Stanton, Tx, and Michelle (Raul) Zertuche of San Antonio, Tx, Crystal Turnbow, TJ (Jake) Pickett and Genevieve Tarango of Midland, Tx. He was blessed with and truly adored his 9 granddaughters, 10 grandsons, 6 great-grandsons and 2 great granddaughters. He is also survived by his sister Diane Studdard of Corpus Christi, Tx, his brother Chuck (Clara) Carroll of Buda, Tx, many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his buddy Ranger.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim Bob and Tibby Carroll and sister Cindy Wallis.
