Jodie's obituary

Jodie Leann Roustio passed away on November 29, 2024, in Belleville, IL, at the age of 45. She was born on October 4, 1979, also in Belleville.

Jodie was a beloved mother, daughter, sibling, and friend. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Vincent Douglas, and her mother, Pamela Elizabeth Weber. Jodie is survived by her children Jessy James Roustio, Shyann Elizabeth Dixon, Cole Allen Longbottom, and Christopher Lee Douglas. She also leaves behind her parents Gary (Shirley) Roustio, her siblings Sheryl (Mike) Hansen, Jessy Roustio, Bob (Katie) Monroe, and Billy (Kate) Monroe, along with numerous Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a medley of "adopted" sons and daughters.

Jodie was a graduate of Mascoutah Community High School and had a warm and welcoming personality. She never knew a stranger and took in all forms of strays, be it an animal or human. Jodie had a deep love for her children and her cats, whom she regarded as part of her family.

While Jodie's life was cut short, her legacy will live on with her children. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity along with her strong personality and speaking her mind. She touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her in many different ways.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Jodie's life will be announced at a later date. Anyone who wishes to honor Jodie is requested to make a contribution to her children's care/college fund via her sister, Sheryl Hansen. In this time of loss, may we find comfort in the memories we shared with Jodie and the love she gave so freely to those around her.

Rest in peace, Jodie. Your light will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
