Jodie Ellen Ellis, a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, and Friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones, on June 30th, 2024 at the age of 63.
Jodie was known for her unwavering strength, sharp intelligence, and a wit that could light up any room. She had a sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around her, and her love for her family and friends was boundless. Stubborn yet fiercely loyal, Jodie lived her life with passion and purpose, always putting others first. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the lessons she taught will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
She was a rock for her family and a friend to all who were lucky enough to know her. Jodie’s legacy will live on through the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created.
Jodie is survived by her Husband; Michael Ray Ellis Sr, Children; Michael Ray Ellis Jr, Megan Rae Aronhalt, Christopher Paul Ellis, Mary Elizabeth Ellis Rosenberger, Their Spouses, 12 grandchildren, Siblings; Glenn “Meshka” Zeisler, Laura Annmarie Reeves, James “Buffalo” Zeisler, David Ananda Burke, and a large circle of family and friends who will cherish her memory forever. Jodie was preceded in death by her Mother, Mary Burke, and eldest brother, Richard Thomas Zeisler.
A celebration of Jodie’s life will be held at the Rotary Pavilion in Winchester Virginia's Jim Barnett Park on May 31st at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Blue Ridge Hospice or Shenandoah Oncology.
