Jodi's obituary

Jodi Leigh Tackett was born September 24, 1974 and departed this world July 1, 2023.  Jodi was only 48 years old when she entered into eternity after a year-long battle with breast cancer.  She is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus and her precious Mother. Jodi had the sweetest smile, big beautiful blue eyes, and an infectious personality that made others around her happy.

Jodi was the youngest of four daughters born to Monnie Leigh LeMaster Tackett and Bobby Ed Tackett who both preceded her in death.  She has three sisters, Tammy Bartlett (Steve), Laura Allen, and Debbie Tackett.

Jodi is a mother of two sons, Daniel Lakes and Charles Lakes.  She was a "Nanny" to her three precious grandchildren Brylin, Gavinn, and Raelyn, and "Mamaw Joby" to her sweet grandson Joseph.

She was so proud of her two sons and the life they made for themselves. She was a single Mom all her life.  She only wanted the best for her boys and did everything she could to make sure they had a happy life.  Her daughters-in-law Andrea and Ashley always made sure she was loved and included in their lives.

The joy of her life was her grandkids.  She loved spending time with them and buying them presents for birthdays and Christmas.  She couldn't wait to see their faces as they opened the presents she picked out for them.

Jodi's three sisters were her best friends. Being the baby Sis, she was spoiled rotten. She was very close with all of her sisters and Mom. From shopping trips, lunches, celebrating birthdays and holidays, pool days, and road trips, they had a bond like no other.

Jodi was a special Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She babysat most of them growing up and then babysat her great nieces and nephews.  She always shared stories about the things they used to do and say that made her laugh.

Jodi will forever be missed and always in our hearts.  There will be a Celebration of Life in Jodi's honor on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the Dixie Highway Christian Center Fellowship Hall (behind church) at 5287 S. Dixie Highway, Franklin, OH, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
