I had the gift of Jodi’s friendship which started at Western and continued into my retirement. She was always positive, caring, helpful and generous both as a colleague and as a friend. I saw her often during the last year. As we live close by, I had the joy of being able to drive her to chemo and to visit with her for short or longer periods of time. We laughed and cried together and discussed how we would spend the summer by her pool. I will miss her deeply!
My thoughts are with Jordan, Bennett, and the Freeman and Miller families. Sending love to all of you ❤️

Jordan, Bennett, Freeman and Miller Families,
I’m so truly sorry for your loss. Jodi made a lasting impression on so many of us here at Western. She was thoughtful, strategic, helpful, and determined with every new task or project that she led.
And her kindness and genuine approach helped her create deep relationships all across campus. I will miss driving golf carts with her during O-Week, brainstorming solutions to complex issues, and her quick wit!
One of my last texts with her was that she has a whole purple village cheering for her. Please know that the same village, is now cheering for each of you.
Sending you love 💜
