2015, Western Christmas party
Radiant, funny and always a great time with Jodes — with Jackie and Jodi

To Jordan and Bennett,

On behalf of Kevin, Ryan, Jonathan and the entire J-AAR team, please accept our deepest condolences. Our hearts are broken that Jodi could not be spared from such a devastating illness.

It is clear through your love for her—and the stories shared—that she was an extraordinary person. The legacy she leaves behind is one of joy, love, laughter, and positivity. She touched many lives and set an inspiring example for us all.

We also extend our heartfelt sympathy to the Freeman and Miller families. Please know that we are holding you all in our thoughts and sending strength and love your way.

Your J-AAR family is here for you—today and every day.

With heartfelt sympathy,

The J-AAR Team

So sorry Ian and Lori for your loss. She fought hard. Hope all is well. She was so young .
I had the pleasure of meeting Jodi through her girlfriend, Brandie Geerts, my niece, when she first brought her to a family picnic. She experienced some redneck fun with Brandie’s boy cousins. Her smile and laughter was infectious.  Sincerest condolences to Jordan, Bennett, family, and friends.
My wife and I followed your journey keenly.  We are absolutely heartbroken that it has turned out as it has.  Heaven has gathered another angel to it’s host of angels.  Wishing you the best in your future, and wishing you a journey that will help you to live with your loss in time.

I first met Jodi when she worked with us as a Summer Academic Orientation leader. She was such a positive force on the team. Her high energy, enthusiasm and her sometimes mischievous smile were infectious. After she returned from her Bond University she became a colleague. Jodi was a catalyst for positive change and always saw the possibilities that existed (even when others didn't). I share my most sincere condolences. Jodi will forever be remembered and loved 💜.

Words can’t properly express the feelings of loss with Jodi’s passing.

Growing up Jodi, Jill, and Scott were our doppelgänger cousins. One each our age and always a blast to hang out with. As we’ve become adults we may have travelled in different corners of Canada but those memories of time together growing up are forever a part of who we are today.

Reading the great memories of others here is a wonderful reminder of how many lives Jodi touched and how loved she is. Her memories will continue on with us all.

Much love,

Craig and Rose

My most sincere condolences to Jodi's family. I remember meeting Jodi as a Soph when starting at Western. She seem to have boundless energy, and this amazing warmth just shone from her. She was an amazing listener, the great friend, and someone who would make your day better with her presence. Will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Jodi's family.
Jodi was always the life of the party. A great friend and colleague who was a great listener and always up for adventure. Her positivity was infectious and hanging out with Jodi was always a great time. Our deepest condolences and our thoughts are with Jodi’s family.
To Jodi’s family - know that …

To Jodi’s family - know that her widespread community rally around you, send you strength, and wish you comfort by knowing how far and deeply she touched others’ lives. Her sparkle will live on through the memories shared.  She was a force - a beautiful human being gone far too soon.   — with Jodi and Estelle
Jodi was the person who made it possible for newcomers fleeing the war in Ukraine to work at Western and learn English here. She changed the lives of 36 individuals and their families. And she changed mine for sure. I will always look up to you Jodi and will always be grateful for all the kindness you generously shared with the whole world. Rest in peace, beautiful soul, you are forever in our hearts
We met working at Western, but what I’ll treasure most is the friendship beyond the office. Jodi was generous, kind, and truly one of a kind. I miss her laughter, wit, strength and her ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. Love you. Miss you, Jodi.❤️
To Jodi's family - I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I was fortunate enough to celebrate O-Week with Jodi and her love for UWO lit me up. She had such a gift for remaining calm on the outside while putting out fires all over. A true beacon. Miller was one of my high school besties, and I'll never forget when Jodi texted me to ask if I had any dirt on this guy she was about to go on a date with. No dirt, just immense joy knowing two really kind people found each other. I'm sending you all so much love and strength 💔

It’s hard to find the right words to express the sadness of losing someone so young, vibrant, and full of life. Jodi was incredibly smart, endlessly funny, and brought such joy to everyone around her. Her passion for her work, her kindness, and her constant willingness to help others left a mark on everyone who knew her.

This is truly a tragic loss, and my heart goes out to her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May her memory be  a source of strength during this unimaginable time.

My deepest condolences to Jodi’s family. She was such an inspiring, kind woman, who made an impact on the lives of so many and will be deeply missed.

Sending all my love to Jodi’s family, I am so sorry for your enormous loss.

I had the privilege of working with Jodi at Western. I didn’t report to her but sought her guidance constantly so I called her my “mini boss” which quickly evolved into “Tall Boss”. Jodi was an impactful mentor and quickly turned into a friend. I have many fond memories from conferences, office pranks, and the occasional casino visit. Jodi brought sound judgment and a calming presence to so many difficult situations in residence and I know she will be deeply missed by the Western community.

Sending our condolences and thoughts to you all from your family in Australia.

Wishing you all gain strength from the love and support of each other at this tragic time.   Hold Jodi in your hearts cherish and remember her love and strength.

Love Fiona & Family xx
