Jocelyn's obituary

Jocelyn Beth Talbott Manning Nicholson, 70, of Olathe, Kan. passed away on April 16, 2026, in Overland Park, Kan. surrounded by her family. She was born on May 12, 1955, in Newton, Iowa, and lived a life full of love, laughter and joy.

Jocelyn dedicated most of her career to working alongside oral surgeons, bringing her warmth and dedication to everyone she worked with. Her greatest joy was her family. She poured her heart in raising four wonderful boys and took immense pride in her 15 grandchildren who were her sunshine.

Those who knew Jocelyn knew she lived her life to the fullest. She was happiest near water, whether it was a lake, a pool, or an ocean. She is survived by her husband, Bill Nicholson, her sons, Ryan Manning (Wendy), JT Manning, Matt Manning (Stephanie), and Ben Manning (Kathie), Her 15 beloved grandchildren, Brooklyn, Hayden, Henley, Eva, Robbie, Claira, Madison (Jackson), Norlynn, Rooney, Koen, Beckett, Talula, Jason, Keegan, Caitlyn; her sisters Paula Barber (Dick), Stephanie Witmer (Randy), Claudia Hawkins (Dwight) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and LaVonne Talbott and her nephews, Jameson Hawkins and Chance Hawkins.

Jocelyn will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
