Joanne's obituary

Joanne Coe Reifenheiser peacefully passed away in her sleep due to complications from Dementia on December 23rd, 2021 at approximately at 10 pm, she was 80 years old, born May 4, 1941.

Joanne was born in San Mateo California and was one of 6 children of the late Kenneth and Renee Dorrance. She lived most of her life in Livermore California, where she worked at Lawrence Livermore Labs for over 20 years. In 2013 she moved with her Husband to Vancouver Washington, where she lived the rest of her days. She loved Gardening and Cooking. Her life was committed to Family and ensuring everyone was well loved, felt secure and always provided an open and welcoming home for anyone to join or visit. Joanne’s life was one of servitude, servitude to her family and making sure everyone she was connected with felt love and acceptance.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her Son, William Reifenheiser Jr and her Grandson Brandon Reifenheiser.

Joanne is survived by her Husband of 60 years William Reifenheiser, her two daughters Catherine Mello married to Chris Mello, Jennifer Nester married to Jonathan Nester and her Son Robert Reifenheiser married to Carla Reifenheiser. Survivors also include her two Brothers Kenneth Dorrance, his wife Peggy, Micheal Dorrance, his wife Kris and her two Sisters Kathy and Renee Dorrance. She also has 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joanne Reifenheiser will be conducted Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at St Albert the Great Church in Alameda, California at 11 am. The church address is: 1022 Holly St, Alameda, Ca. 94501. with Kenneth Dorrance officiating. Remembrance to follow after the service at Mike and Kris Dorrance’s home in Danville, CA
