Joanne's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joanne "JoJo, Miss Jo" Moskow on April 4, 2026. Born on May 19, 1964, Joanne was a woman of remarkable character, loved and admired by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Joanne was fondly known as JoJo ,Step Jo and Miss Jo, but she always preferred being called Mom and Mumum Moskow. Jo brought joy and love into the lives of her beloved family. She is survived by her dedicated wife, Rebecca Moskow, who she married in 2025. Their love story was one of great affection and mutual respect.
Joanne was a proud and loving mother to her children Amanda Bennet, Jeff Moskow, Kaili Kayros, and Dylon Moskow. She also loved her bonus kids Jaime, Alexis, Will and Jarred. She always ensured their home was filled with love, laughter and the aroma of her favorite foods. Pasta was her love language.
Jo is also survived by her mother Kathleen and her brother Ro.
Known for her eclectic music taste, she found comfort in the tunes of Prince, Tina Marie and Queen. She was a fervent fan of several TV shows, including Ncis, Scandal, Nikita, and Game of Thrones. The film Avatar held a special place in her heart. Joanne cheered passionately for her favorite sports teams, the Eagles and the Broncos.
Joanne's recreational pursuits were as diverse and unique as she was. From fishing to gardening, building things and creating art, she was indeed a woman of many talents. Her favorite forms of exercise were biking and boxing, hobbies she pursued with great enthusiasm in her younger years. Joanne found solace and peace in the tranquility of beaches and lakes, her preferred vacation spots.
Joanne cared deeply about rescuing dogs, and devoted much of her time and resources towards this noble cause. The color purple held a special meaning for her, and she found joy in its radiant hue.
Joanne's enduring legacy is undoubtedly her children and grandchildren, who will carry her spirit in their hearts. At the time of her passing she and Bex had 8 grown children and 22 grandchildren with two more arriving shortly. She loved them so much and loved to tell anyone who would listen about them all. She will forever be remembered for her unconditional love, her exuberance, her kind-hearted nature and her zest for life. Joanne " Miss Jo" Moskow will be greatly missed, but her legacy will continue through the lives of those she loved and touched.
