Joanne's obituary
MONTGOMERY, Texas - Joanne Miller, lovingly known as Ann or Annie Miller, peacefully passed away on August 28, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 2, 1952, in Seoul, Korea, Ann was a compassionate and selfless individual who dedicated her life to helping others.
Joanne “J” was well-regarded in the field of law, where she had built a successful career as a legal secretary. Her professional achievements were a source of pride, but more importantly, Joanne was widely respected for her personal qualities. Her kindness, strength, and inspiration.
Ann, a talented cook, found joy in French cuisine. She delighted in preparing delicious meals for her loved ones, sharing her culinary skills and bringing people together through food. In addition to her passion for cooking, Ann had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful garden. She found solace and tranquility in the colors and scents of nature.
A voracious reader, Ann was always immersed in a good book. She cherished the knowledge and wisdom she gained through reading and often shared her favorite literary works with family and friends. Ann’s love for literature was a testament to her inquisitive mind and thirst for knowledge.
Joanne’s life will be celebrated through a private Celebration of Life Service, where her family and close friends will gather to honor her memory.
Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Donald Miller, and their son, Jared Miller. She also leaves behind her sisters Janet Roma (Anthony) and Jake Navarro (Ismael), her brothers, Bob Wert (Linda) and David Wert (Teresa), Rickie Miller sister in -law, Linda Fields Wert sister in -law, as well as her nieces and nephews: Makena Leazer, Tricia Symons, Lindsey Nye, Isabella Navarro, Alyssa Navarro, Savanna Navarro, Lillian Peacock, Cathleen Dyke, Christopher Wert, Patrick Wert, Jordan Wert, Curtis Hendrix, and Lawrence Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Charles Wert, and mother, Young-Hi Wert, as well as her sister Lillian Hendrix and brother Paul Charles Wert Jr, and niece Carla Hendrix- Hissom.
