Background
Our mother Joanne Marie Morales passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning, March 21, 2021 at the young age of 47 from an accidental fall.
Our mom was the most kind, gentle person who touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was the kind of person who appreciated all the beautiful things in this world and who would spread her positivity onto others.
Our mother was an incredibly understanding woman who raised us to tell her the truth without fear of judgement regardless of how difficult the subject or circumstance. She gave Andy and I the gift of experiencing life on our own terms. She found the good in everyone she met and encouraged everyone to be open, without fear or judgement.
Her death has been an unexpected tragedy that has devastated our family and has left us with a major hole in our hearts and lives.
Despite the wonderful generosity of family and our local community, we are encountering substantial unexpected expenses for the funeral that we were not prepared for. Any money donated to this fund will assist us in the numerous expenses that go into preparing for my mothers funeral and burial. If we are lucky enough to have remaining donations, they will go towards helping my brother Andy and I in paying for our current house rent until we are able to get our things together and move out. Our mom was such a generous and loving person, she was paying for the majority of our household bills as well as our common household essentials because she was big on still taking care of her children even though we are grown adults now.
With the devastation of us losing our mother, we are now in the position of having to figure out how to cover the current household expenses, in addition to covering our unexpected moving cost that we are now facing. Since this tragedy occurred out of nowhere and we were not prepared, we do not have much savings between us and any generosity extended to us is greatly appreciated.
The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31st.
